Passing
Catch & Pass — Speed Under Pressure
Players practise fast, flat catch-and-pass under time pressure to accelerate ball speed.
Setup
4 players in a line, 5 m apart. Ball starts on one end. Two defenders apply pressure.
Instructions
- Ball is passed down the line as fast as possible.
- Two defenders chase from the starting end.
- Team scores if ball reaches the last player before defenders arrive.
- Rotate defenders every 3 reps.
Coaching Points
✓ Catch, step, pass — as one movement.
✓ Pass flat — not loopy.
✓ Receiver moves toward the ball — don't wait.
Progressions
→ Defenders start closer.
→ Must pass back and forth twice before scoring.
→ Defender must touch each passer — increases intensity.
