Instructions

  1. Team sets up in Rotation 1. Coach serves.
  2. Team executes: receive, set, attack, cover.

Coaching Points

✓ Know your position in each rotation before the serve.
✓ Libero calls who is in each zone.
✓ Cover the attack — anticipate a block.

Common Mistakes to Watch For

  • Players losing focus on the main coaching point.
  • The drill area being too large or too small for the group.
  • Progressing the drill before the basic pattern is clean.

Progressions: Make It Harder

→ Opponent blocks and plays the covered ball.
→ Rotation quiz — coach calls a rotation and asks positions.
→ Live 6v6 with rotation tracking.

Regressions: Make It Easier

Start without defenders, then add pressure once the movement pattern is clear.
