Setup

Blocker at net. Setter and hitter on opposite side. Pairs rotating.

Instructions

  1. Hitter approaches from outside.
  2. Blocker reads the set and times the jump.
  3. Hands penetrate over the net — block into opponent's court.
  4. If the block touches the ball, it counts — aim for angle. 10 reps then swap.

Coaching Points

✓ Jump just after the hitter — don't go too early.
✓ Hands spread and firm — no wobbling.
✓ Arms reach over, not into your own side.

Progressions

→ Add a second blocker — practise block communication.
→ Hitter varies shots — line vs angle.
→ Live point: hitter can tip, roll, or attack.
