Setup

Three pods of 3 forwards, with backs creating width. Attack a defensive line of 7.

Instructions

  1. Pod 1 carries into contact.
  2. Pod 2 cleans and drives.
  3. Pod 3 presents the ball wide to the backs.
  4. Backs attack the space created. Reset from each phase.

Coaching Points

✓ Pod timing — don't arrive too early or too late.
✓ Ball-player should be close to the ruck — not wide.
✓ Backs: read where the defence has compressed.

Progressions

→ Defence has a designated blitz call.
→ Attack scores if they get past the gain line in 4 phases.
→ Live 7v7 attack vs defence.
