Setup

5 offensive players spread in 5-out formation. 2–3 defenders initially.

Instructions

  1. Player with ball may pass and cut, pass and replace, or dribble-hand-off.
  2. Ball-side player cuts to basket on any pass.
  3. Weak-side players fill the vacated spots.
  4. Read the defence — if cutter is open, hit them.

Coaching Points

✓ Spacing first — no two players within 15 feet.
✓ Cut with purpose — v-cut or backdoor.
✓ Ball movement before player movement.

Progressions

→ Add live defence (5v5).
→ Shot clock of 15 seconds.
→ First score must come off a cut, not a pull-up.
