Setup

Two cones 15 m apart with a passive defender in between. Three lines of players.

Instructions

  1. Player A passes to B (wall) and runs past the defender.
  2. B lays the ball first-time into A's path.
  3. A dribbles to the end cone.
  4. Rotate — B becomes defender, defender joins back of queue.

Coaching Points

✓ Pass must be firm and to the front foot.
✓ Wall player must lay off first-time.
✓ Runner must accelerate past the defender.

Progressions

→ Make the defender active.
→ Add a second wall pass before the end cone.
→ Combine with a finish into a goal.
