Mid-Range Pull-Up Jumper
Guards and forwards develop the pull-up jump shot from various mid-range locations.
Setup
5 spots on the floor: elbows, wings, top. Player dribbles into each spot and pulls up.
Instructions
- Attack from the perimeter — 2 hard dribbles into the spot.
- Stop on a jump stop.
- Rise up and shoot — no extra dribbles.
- 5 attempts per spot. Track makes.
Coaching Points
✓ Jump stop: land both feet simultaneously.
✓ Don't fade back — rise straight up.
✓ Quick release — don't hold the ball.
Progressions
→ One dribble only from further out.
→ Add a passive hand in the face.
→ Shoot off the pass (no dribble).
