Setup

Cones set in a zigzag pattern across the lane.

Instructions

  1. Player starts in defensive stance at first cone.
  2. Lateral slide to each cone without crossing feet.
  3. At each cone, change direction without standing up.
  4. Touch the floor at each cone. Sprint to end, jog back.

Coaching Points

✓ Stay low — hips below knees.
✓ Lead with the foot in the direction of travel.
✓ Never let feet come together.

Progressions

→ Partner mirrors the slide (shadowing).
→ Add a ball — slide while dribbling.
→ Timed: beat 10 seconds for the full circuit.
