Setup

Both players rallying. One player hits slice backhand every shot; other hits topspin.

Instructions

  1. Slice player hits backhand slice crosscourt from the baseline.
  2. Topspin player keeps the ball in play.
  3. Rally for consistency — count to 15.
  4. Switch roles every 5 minutes.

Coaching Points

✓ High to low swing path — don't flip the wrist.
✓ Contact point in front — don't let it get beside you.
✓ Thin contact: slice through the back of the ball.

Progressions

→ Slice approach + volley — use the slice to come in.
→ Mix slice and topspin in rallies.
→ Slice lob when pulled wide.
