Slice Backhand Consistency
Players develop a reliable slice backhand for defensive and approach situations.
Setup
Both players rallying. One player hits slice backhand every shot; other hits topspin.
Instructions
- Slice player hits backhand slice crosscourt from the baseline.
- Topspin player keeps the ball in play.
- Rally for consistency — count to 15.
- Switch roles every 5 minutes.
Coaching Points
✓ High to low swing path — don't flip the wrist.
✓ Contact point in front — don't let it get beside you.
✓ Thin contact: slice through the back of the ball.
Progressions
